Memorial Day weekend is now upon us signaling the unofficial beginning of summer and grilling season as we honor those soldiers who have died while in military service. With our flags waving proudly in the sunshine, lemonade glasses filled to the brim, and the smell of charcoal grills on every street you pass, Memorial Day is truly a day of celebration.
Many families gather for neighborhood cookouts, visit with friends, or head out on a fun family vacation for the weekend. Regardless of how they celebrate, delicious food is just about always involved.
Or at least around my family it is.

Great idea for Memorial day! I’m usually a ‘pie for dessert’ person but this looks so easy and beautiful!
Been wanting to make Pavlova for awhile now. Such a romantic name for a dessert! My faves for memorial day are organic burgers, grilled corn on the cob and watermelon salad with feta, red onion, jalapeno and cilantro. Oh, and roast sweet potato fries! Happy Memorial Day!
Sadly, I have no idea what’s on the menu for Monday. I need to plan for this before all the good stuff is gone from the grocery store!
