I love the simplicity of making my own compound butters and this cinnamon honey butter has to be one of my favorites.
It all begins with a stick of softened butter, a bit of honey, and cinnamon. Three simple ingredients to kick whatever you serve it with up a notch or two.
It is perfect on baked apples, a baked sweet potato, and don’t even get me started about it on a bowl of oatmeal in the morning. One little pat of this butter adds such complex flavor that I love to keep it stocked in the freezer!

Here’s my Cinnamon Honey Butter Recipe. I think you’ll love it!
- 8 tablespoons (1 stick) salted butter, softened
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons honey
- Cream together butter, cinnamon and honey until well combined. Place into a small serving dish and cover tightly with plastic wrap or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Additionally, you may pour onto a piece of parchment paper and roll into a log. Seal with freezer tape, label and store in the freezer until use.
