How to Make Strawberry Lemonade

This scrumptious and fresh lemonade is easy to make with just 5 ingredients.

To make Strawberry Lemonade, you’ll need these ingredients:

Ingredients

  • sugar – Use granulated sugar, but you can also use honey or other sweeteners if you choose
  • hot water
  • strawberry puree  – will use about 1 pint of fresh strawberries, hulled
  • fresh lemon juice
  • cold water

Garnishes – These are optional but add a delicious and attractive touch, especially if serving to guests or at having at a party.

  • lemon slices
  • strawberry slices
  • mint

Step-by-Step Instructions

Stir the sugar into the hot water. Add the sugar to a pitcher and then pour in the hot water. Stir until the sugar has dissolved, and then allow it to cool.

Puree the strawberries. Next, add your hulled strawberries to your blender and blend to puree.

Storage Instructions

Before any fresh fruit is added to the mixed strawberry lemonade, it will last in the refrigerator for 3 days. Add the fresh fruit and ice cubes just prior to serving for the best freshness.

Can I Use an Alternative Sweetener or Make it Without Sugar?

Absolutely! If you are watching your sugar intake, you can easily reduce the amount of sugar in both the lemonade and strawberry syrup to your preference as well.

You can replace the sugar with your favorite sugar substitute or honey if you prefer. The honey will add even another layer of flavor!

If you can find lavender honey, it absolutely is scrumptious in this lemonade.

Hi Robyn! I was just talking to a lady yesterday that has a strawberry farm near me. We were excited about the soon to be strawberries we will be enjoying. I always buy a big ole bunch of berries and can’t eat them fast enough. This will be something to try and use up those delicious berries. I have no doubt this will be a 5-star drink! You know I’m Pinning it! 🙂
