Beauty Loves :: February 2015

Beauty Loves is a series where I share items I’m loving from the drugstore beauty aisle to the department store beauty counter! This month includes essentials for teeth whitening, a miracle of a concealer, a favorite lipstick, and more.

It is the time of the month when I’m sharing about what beauty products I’ve discovered and am absolutely loving at the moment, as well as some that as indispensable for me!

For 2015, I’m paring down the items in each month’s Beauty Loves posts to those that I’m loving. Generally, I’ll keep the selection to five or less and do my best to not reshare items that I’ve shared previously – but no promises that I won’t gush about something if I think I couldn’t do without it! I hope you love learning about some of them as much as I always love sharing them!

Here are my favorites from February.

1. Southern women love their lipstick. I think if there is one beauty product that I absolutely couldn’t live without, it would have to be lipstick. A close second would be mascara. I love this lipstick as it is very moisturizing and great for wearing during the day. It goes on silky like a balm and provides your lips with a sheer coverage of color without being overdone. I’ve been gravitating more and more to my tube in the color Moment  lately.
2. I’m midweek in beginning to use this two-step whitener set and so far I am loving it. With just one use I noticed my teeth felt like I’d just had a professional cleaning at the dentists office. The packaging claims 6x whiter teeth in the first week of use. I wish I’d taken before photos.
3. I inherited dark circles under my eyes that no amount of sleep cures. I’ve tried so many under eye concealers and have noticed that the older I get, the more I need a moisturizing one with staying power that works. I can’t sing the praises of this one enough. Thankfully, it brightens, has the perfect amount of moisture so that it doesn’t settle into fine lines, and covers dark circles like a boss. Love it!
4. Mama told me about these brightening peel pads that she’d been using a few months ago. I’d noticed a difference in her skin and couldn’t wait to try whatever she’d been using. I began using them once a week and can definitely tell a difference in my skin. I love that it makes my skin brighter with little effort on my part.
