Beauty Loves is a series where I share items I’m loving from the drugstore beauty aisle to the department store beauty counter! This month includes favorite lipsticks, spray sunscreen and more!
I have to admit that sharing things that I’m loving in the beauty department is one of my favorite things. It is the one thing when I’m talking with my sister or really good friends that I can depend on coming up at some point during the discussion. One of us will always say something like, “oh my goodness, let me tell you about this (name whatever we’ve discovered!) that I’ve been using!” Then the discussion continues on and on and on until we realize that we’ve chatted more about beauty loves than we do about anything else. Well, besides food. Food always trumps discussions I think. Ha!
So, I thought it would be fun to share with you the beauty products that I’m loving lately.
1. Rollerball perfumes. Okay, these I adore! I love to pick up these small rollerballs of my favorite perfumes to keep in my travel bag, but I have a little tip to share with you that I think you are going to love! If I’m considering purchasing a new perfume, I first buy the small rollerball size. That way, for very little investment, I can see if it is a scent that I turn to time and again and if it one that my husband likes as well. If I use it routinely, then I know it is worth buying a bigger bottle. If I don’t love it, then I’ve not spent a great deal of money on it and I can then pass it along to a friend if she would like to give it a try. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve just known that I’d love a new scent only to realize after a few days that it just isn’t for me. This little rollerball trick is one that I absolutely swear by! Right now, my favorites are Bright Crystal, Kate Spade’s Twirl, and Tory Burch.
2. Lipstick. I always include at least one lipstick in my beauty loves posts. I think I need an intervention! But, I always feel like I have to have something on my lips or they are super dry and annoying. I start with my Carmex that I use faithfully for moisturizing my lips. Then, throughout the day when I’m home chasing Ranger and Annabelle, I use this drugstore favorite Baby Lips. The color Cherry Me is a definite favorite of mine and I love how it makes my lips feel all day! But when we go out, I’ve been turning more toward this beautiful rose color lipstick. It goes on velvety and has good staying power – which I love!
3. Sunscreen oil. You guys know how I feel about sunscreen since I share it over and over and over. It is one of those things that is a must-use in my skincare routine. You also know by now how much I love oils since I go on and on about those, too. Well, just imagine how excited I was when my sister told me about this sunscreen oil! What the what? This stuff is amazing! I use it every day after I towel off from the shower. It sprays on just like a dry body oil, but the best part is that it has an SPF 50! Talk about a win-win! I only use this on my body and still use my favorite clear sunscreen when I make my own tinted moisturizer.

Isn’t that dry oil sunscreen fabulous? I am just amazed at how far sunscreen has come along in the last few years! And it smells so good, too! I’m so glad you enjoy my beauty loves posts as much as I love doing them.

I like that you have the Beauty Loves section; but I do not wear makeup or go in for cosmetics at all. I think it would be nice if we could continue receiving the Add a Pinch emails, but opt out of the Beauty Loves emails. I would like for them to be separate and individual emails and choices. Thank you.
