Happy first day of summer! Can you believe we are already this late into June? It is surely flying right on by, isn’t it?

To celebrate the first day, I want to share this cherry frozen yogurt recipe with you all. It has been a constant in my house since the weather warmed up and I don’t foresee that changing anytime soon!

You’ll notice that I use frozen cherries in this recipe. They make the frozen yogurt come together more quickly and you can generally find them in the freezer section of any grocery store. If you have fresh cherries that you’d prefer to use, just go ahead and pit them and pop them into your freezer for about 30 minutes before using.

For the sweetener, I like to use either honey or maple syrup. You can also use a simple syrup if you don’t want to add any other flavoring to your cherry frozen yogurt that the honey and maple syrup tend to lend. That way, you have pure cherry flavor through and through. I’ve shared how I make my simple syrup previously, if you’d like to refer to those instructions.

Once you make your cherry frozen yogurt, you can serve immediately or store in an airtight freezer container for up to 1 month in the freezer.

Here’s my Cherry Frozen Yogurt Recipe. I hope you love it as much as we do!

  1. I messed up your delicious-sounding recipe, Robyn, by thawing the cherries before using them. I tried to firm up my soupy concoction in the freezer, but then I ended up with an icy, not creamy result. I’ll try this again with FROZEN cherries. ?

    1. Hi Allyn,
Oh I’m sorry that happened! I hope you enjoy this next time you give it a try! Thanks!!! xo

Robyn! This is insanely EASY and over the top DELICIOUS!!! I only had one bag of cherries in the freezer, so made a 1/2 batch. Oh my gosh, I foresee me buying out the frozen cherries at the grocery store tomorrow! This was a perfect evening treat after a 105 degree day. Thanks, again, for sharing your awesome recipes! Stay cool…..
