The statement coat is definitely a trend this fall. Bright bold colors, fun cuts and embellishments, and creative twists on classic favorites perks up our entire outfit. I retired my old coat at the end of last season and have been in search of a new coat in preparation of the cooler mornings and evenings. I especially want one that I can wear now, but that will take me straight through the winter and early spring.
As I’ve been shopping for one, I found so many that I loved that I just had to share a few of my favorites with you. I had a couple of requirements for these coats. Each has to be one that I could wear casually or to church, it has to cost less than $100, and it has to be pretty.
I think you’ll like these, too.
Bold and Beautiful
This coat is called the Mrs. Robinson coat by Knitted Dove. I love the vintage, ultra feminine details on this updated classic, but mostly I love that bright ruby red color! Gorgeous.

Ponchos and capes are definitely a hot trend for the fall. I love this cape coat with the fitted waist and ruffled large collar. Absolutely perfect for heading to football games, fall festivals, and all of those holiday shopping trips. You can choose black, grey or this lovely dark camel in this Jolt Cape at Nordstrom.
I found it $78.00.
This peacoat by Tulle caught my eye with the classic cut updated with these gorgeous ruffles. Paired with black pants or a dress, this coat will definitely dress up anything you wear with it.

It’s hard to go wrong with a long coat in classic black. Especially the cut of this coat that fits in the waist and drops to a flare. The large collar adds updated style to this classic.

None of these stores know who I am nor do they care which coat I buy.
