While my roaster isn’t this exact model, it is one very similar that I’ve had for years and years and years and years. You get the picture. I’ve had it a long, long, long time.   1. My favorite side dish for Thanksgiving is the dressing (formerly known as stuffing but now cooked in a casserole dish). My version is based loosely on what my dear mother used to make, and involves diced veggies and fruit (onion, celery, carrot, parsnip if I’ve got it, apple, mushroom) with chopped walnuts and raisins, all sauteed in butter then simmered with milk, seasoned with dried sage, thyme, and parsley (my mom used Bell’s Seasoning), salt and pepper, and mixed with dried bread cubes (preferably homemade). Time consuming, but so worth it! Plus, it connects me to my mother, whom I miss more every day.

  2. A couple of years ago I go a recipe for a cranberry sauce with oranges and pineapples in it. It is amazing so this is a sure thing for our Thanksgiving Dinner.
