Congratulations to Debra C, comment #132! She said: “My favorite dessert is coconut pie.”

I love that we share a love for coconut pie, red mixers and Valentine’s Day! kitchenaid-valentines

Happy Valentine’s Day weekend!!!

We’ve packed up the RV and headed south toward sunshine, warmer weather and a fun-filled week (we hope!).

Of course, while we’re here, my son will be doing his schoolwork, my husband will be working remotely, and we’ll be cooking, grilling and eating way too much!

One of the things that I always bring along with me in our RV is my stand mixer. I know it sounds silly to have it while RVing, but I use it so much it is practically like an extension of my body – like a third arm or something.

So, since I love mine dearly and can’t seem to even go to Florida without it, I thought it would be fun to show you guys how much I love you with a fun giveaway!

I’m giving away one Kitchenaid Artisan stand mixer in shiny candy apple red! What better color for Valentine’s Day!

I think you’ll love it!

To enter, just leave a comment telling me about your favorite dessert!

This giveaway ends Tuesday, February 17th at 11:59 PM eastern. I’ll randomly select a winner and contact him or her via email and update this post. Good luck!

Love ya!

  1. My favorite dessert is homemade German Chocolate Cake. My mom always made it for me for my birthday. I lost her three years ago and I haven’t had one since 🙁

  2. I love to make honey roasted pecans with honey from my apiaries, pecans, and a little bit of popcorn salt. I also like to make pecan pies and strawberry shortcake with my fresh strawberries.

  3. My favorite dessert is chocolate cake with butter cream frosting . I will be making this On the 23rd for my 2nd oldest daughter’s 22 birthday !!!
Great choice with the red it’s my favorite color !

  4. Being a uni student, I love easy and delicious recipe :p And one day I came across your recipes and tried the best chocolate cake recipe (ever). And OMG! THE BEST EVER, literally! So delicious and so easy. The cake was moist on the inside and the right texture on the outside. I hated chocolate cakes when I was small due to a bad experience, but this recipe made me addicted to chocolate cakes :p I was so amazed! Since then, whenever I’m craving for something sweet, I just directly go on your website and choose the recipe which will satisfy this craving :p

And I love how my cakes comes out exactly as your pictures (which is really rare)! :p Thanks so much for them 🙂

I hope I will win the stand mixer 🙂 I always wanted one. But too expensive. But will definitely help me bake more 🙂 I just looooove baking :p

  5. I was raised by a great southern cook, and all-around fantastic mother, who loved to make Mississippi Mud Cake. Excellent cake to teach your little girl or granddaughter. That is one of my many favorites!

  6. My grandmother worked at the Original Sanders ice cream shop in Detroit years ago… So of course, Hot Fudge Cream Puffs with Sanders fudge!

  7. My favorite dessert would have to be my homemade walnut brownie with chocolate candy fudge icing with a scoop of French vanilla ice cream on top. Every time I have made this dessert I get rave reviews. It is moist, decadent, warm and gooey. The Fudge icing coats each brownie and becomes somewhat hard on the outside which keeps the brownie moist on the inside. You can eat the run over icing like it was fudge and when you put it in the microwave for a second or two then ladle the scoop of ice cream on top to melt over the brownie it is to die for. You do not have to worry about over eating this dessert because it is
rich but not to rich so a little goes a long way. When eating you truly feel like this is the best dessert you have ever put in your mouth.

  8. Great giveaway! I have always adored kitchen aid mixers- my mother always raved about them.
My favorite dessert is one that I recently baked. It is an apple pie recipe completely from scratch with a little bit of a twist, it is an apple pastery with slices instead of chunks and is baked in a deep dish rectangular pan. It was my first attempt at any recipe close to a pie and I loved the authenticity of it; it felt like a true classic recipe that my great great grandmother must have baked. I love the homey feel it has. I paired each slice with a creamy scoop of vanilla ice cream, and my tastebuds did a lengthy happy dance. I cannot wait to bake this recipe again, I am actually baking it again in a heart shaped pan in honor of Valentine’s Day.
