Slow Cooker Giveaway from

As I’m cleaning out cabinets, clearing out the clutter and tidying up around the house this past week, I’ve come to realize (once again) that there are some items that just take up more space than they are worth.

Like that 5,945th chip and dip bowl set that we received as a wedding present that still hasn’t been used or the box of cloth remnants I have been saving since the beginning of time to “one day” make that quilt. They deserve better homes than mine. They deserve to be in a home where they’ll be loved and cherished, not shoved to the back of the cabinet on the very tip top shelf.

I’ve also realized (once again) that there are some items that I never ever ever, like ever want to be without.

Like my 5,945th cast iron skillet. I’ll gladly find space for them even if I have to begin storing them in my oven like my Grandmother.

I’ll also always make room for my slow cooker. It truly is a parent’s best friend.

I’ve written about my love for it on more than one occasion, but if you need just one reason to fall in love with it, it would be this.

Yes, 50 Slow Cooker Suppers that I think your family will adore!

But if that doesn’t do it for you, you may want to check out the whole section of slow cooker recipes with everything for breakfast, lunch, supper, and appetizers! There’s a little something there for everything.

So, since I love mine more than any chip and dip bowl set I’ve ever seen, I decided you might love one, too!

  1. Kalua pork, being from Hawaii this is one of the dishes I can replicate in a slow cooker while I’m living on the mainland to remind me of home.

  2. Oh my!!!!
Hands down, I will make your Balsamic Roast Beef in my new Slow Cooker to make Fancy French Dip type sandwiches on a winter day! My house will smell divine ALL DAY, yay!
Thank you for bringing your southern sunshine to my screen every day

  3. how fantastic!!!! My slow cooker bit the dust on Christmas Day of all the worst days for it to happen. I had a mini meltdown and pulled myself together then tried my best to save my basalmic pulled pork. Epic fail!!!!! So I would make the BASALMIC PULLED PORK!!!! It’s my favorite!!!!

  4. The first thing I’d cook would be a spicy Italian beef. It’s delish and hearty and makes great sandwiches. thanks for the giveaway and Happy New Year.

  5. Hi there. This is my first comment on anything for a prize so I must want it really bad. If I won I would celebrate by making the Bacon Jam recipe. My husband and I are baconaholics and can’t wait to try some.

  6. Would be a toss-up between no-sugar applesauce or pulled pork. Love your blog, thank you for taking time to share with everyone. Happy 2015 to you and yours!

  7. The first meal that I would cook in the slow cooker would be chilli! I have been looking for an affordable slow cooker since last year, but I still can’t find a good sale within my price range, so I hope that I can win this one!

  8. The list is long… hmmm.. for new years, black eyed pass in a raspberry chipotle sauce, or northern Mexico style beans with bacon, ham hocks and a can of beer (half for the pot and half for me), or some Bosnian sarma.. pickled cabbage wrapped around a wonderful mix of smoked meats…

  9. I think the first recipe I would make in my new slow cooker would be a recipe that has stuffing and chicken in it. It makes the chicken so tender and juicy and the stuffing just right!

  10. I would be making some kind of pork to make pulled pork sandwiches and maybe throw in some homemade BBQ sauce. I love pork over any of the other meats. Chicken (dark meat) would come in a close second.
