How to Make Homemade Strawberry Lemonade Popsicles

Be sure to see the recipe card below for the full listing of ingredients, instructions, notes, and estimated nutritional information.

Ingredients

  • Strawberry syrup – I use my homemade strawberry syrup. You can also use your favorite store bought if you prefer.
  • Lemonade – I love to use my homemade fresh lemonade, but feel free to use your favorite store bought lemonade.

Step by Step Instructions

  1. Blend it up: Pour the strawberry syrup and fresh lemonade into a blender. Blend until smooth and well combined.
  2. Taste and adjust: Give it a quick taste. Add a bit more strawberry syrup if you want it sweeter, or extra lemonade for more tartness.
  3. Pour into molds: Divide the mixture evenly into popsicle molds, paper cups, or any freezer-safe containers. If using paper cups, insert popsicle sticks once they’ve partially frozen (about 30–60 minutes).
  4. Freeze: Place in the freezer until completely firm, usually 4–6 hours or overnight.
  5. Serve: Run the molds under warm water for a few seconds to release the popsicles. Enjoy immediately!

Pro Tip: For a fun layered look, alternate pouring strawberry syrup and lemonade separately and give a gentle swirl with a stick before freezing.

They are so easy to make that it really is hard to call them a recipe.

Normally, I just pour popsicles into paper cups and shove a craft stick into them after they’ve been in the freezer for a little while. That’s how my Grandmother always made popsicles for us during the summer and to me, that’s the way they look the best.

However, my sweet son was so excited to give me a set of popsicle holders when I first shared this recipe in 2013, that I absolutely had to use them for these delicious popsicles.

Make It Your Own

  • Fresh fruit version: Blend fresh or frozen strawberries with lemonade and a touch of honey or simple syrup instead of using pre-made strawberry syrup.
  • Lower sugar: Use a sugar-free lemonade and adjust the syrup accordingly.

Storage Tips

Store popsicles in their molds or in a freezer bag for up to 2–3 months. They’re best enjoyed within the first month for optimal texture and flavor.
