This turkey salad makes one of my favorite ways to use up and enjoy all those turkey leftovers from yesterday. It really does make for a quick-fix meal perfect for making the most of your roasted turkey breast or smoked turkey.

Since it has definitely has a different taste from just reheating the turkey leftovers, it really helps you to not feel like you have a never ending supply of turkey that you’ll never make it through. Well, at least it does for me. If you are like my family, you may even look forward to having those leftovers just so you can make this turkey salad.

Turkey Salad Recipe

This turkey salad recipe will make you look forward to turkey leftovers. It’s a favorite leftover turkey recipe! Great for turkey salad sandwiches too!

Total Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients 

  • 2 1/2 cups cubed cooked turkey
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 cup red grapes, halved
  • 1 large apple, diced
  • 1/2 cup roasted pecans
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 dash lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup whipped heavy cream

Instructions 

  • Mix together turkey, celery, grapes, apples, pecans, mayonnaise, lemon juice and salt until well-combined in a medium mixing bowl. Fold in whipped heavy cream and serve cold.

Notes

As a salad: Serve atop bibb lettuce leaves for a luncheon
As a sandwich: Serve in a toasted croissant.

    This was excellent. I used an orange marmalade spread on one side of the bread because a tea room I visit does that and it was very tasty

  2. I make a chicken salad similar to this. In our efforts to be healthier, I use Greek Yogurt instead of mayo and we can’t really tell the difference. It’s just as delicious!

  3. This looks heavenly – I’m thinking in a wrap or on top of some fresh greens sounds like the perfect after-Thanksgiving lunch!
