Cream together your butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.

Divide the dough in half, wrap each half well in plastic wrap, and refrigerate it for at least 1 hour to overnight.
When ready to bake, remove from the refrigerator 15 minutes before rolling out on a lightly floured surface.
