- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup toffee bits
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce optional
- vanilla ice cream optional
Preheat the oven to 350º F.
Cream the butter using a mixer, then add the sugars and mix until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add the egg and vanilla until well combined. Add flour, cocoa powder, sea salt, and baking soda to butter mixture. Mix until all well combined.
Stir in the toffee bits and chocolate chips.
Pour the cookie dough into a 10-inch, well-seasoned cast iron skillet.
Bake for 25 - 30 minutes based on your preference for the center to be more firm or creamy.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes, then top the cookie with scoops of vanilla ice cream and drizzle with caramel sauce and serve.
