My quick pickled red onions recipe is easy to make with four basic ingredients and ready in 30 minutes. They add so much flavor to sandwiches, salads, and more!
1cup(255g)vinegarapple cider vinegar or white vinegar
1cup(236.59g)waterwarm
1tablespoon(18g)fine sea salt
1tablespoon(12g)cane sugaroptional
Instructions
Add the thinly sliced red onions to the glass Mason jar.
Add the vinegar, water, salt, and sugar (optional) into a measuring cup. Stir to combine until the salt and sugar are disolved. Pour over the onion slices in the Mason jar. Affix the top securely to the jar and refrigerate.
Notes
The fridge time needed for the pickled red onions depends on the thickness of the onion slices, from 15 minutes to overnight. Storage Tips: Refrigerate up to 2 weeks
