chopped fresh herbs: rosemary, thyme, or parsleyoptional garnish
Instructions
Prep. Preheat oven to 400˚F. Line baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
Pre-cook bacon. Arrange bacon slices on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes, until the bacon begins to brown but is still tender. Remove from the oven.
Blanch the green beans. Meanwhile, as the bacon is baking, bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the green beans. Cover and cook the beans for 1 minute. Pour the beans through a strainer placed in the sink. Rinse the beans with very cold water for 1 minute. Drain well and then pat dry with a paper towel.
Wrap the beans with bacon. Place about 8-10 green beans onto one end of a piece of bacon on the parchment lined baking sheet. Roll the bacon around the green beans and secure with a toothpick. Repeat with the remaining bacon and beans.
Season the beans. Drizzle the olive oil, if using, onto the bean bundles and sprinkle with Stone House Seasoning. Sprinkle brown sugar on top of each of the bacon wrapped bundles.
Bake and serve. Bake in 400º F oven for 15-20 minutes until the bacon is cooked through and the beans are tender. Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped fresh parsley, thyme, or another fresh herb, if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
Make Ahead Tips: Prepare the green bean bundles without baking them for the final 15-20 minutes. Cover them tightly and refrigerate until ready to bake. When ready to bake, remove from the refrigerator and bake as directed. A few additional minutes may be needed. Storage Tips: Refrigerator: Store in an airtight container for 3 -4 days. Freezer: Store in a freezer-safe container in the freezer for up to 3 months. Reheat: Reheat in the microwave covered with a damp paper towel at 50% power for 2-3 minutes, in an air fryer at 325º for about 5 - 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, or in the oven at 325º F on a baking sheet tented with foil for 10-15 minutes. Remove the foil for the last few minutes so the bacon remains crisp.Stone House Seasoning: If you do not have Stone House Seasoning on hand, you can use 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon granulated garlic.Air Fryer Green Bean Bundles: Preheat the air fryer to 375º F for 3-5 minutes. Prepare the green bean bundles and place them in a single layer, leaving space between each bundle in the preheated air fryer. Air fry for 10 minutes. Add 2 - 3 more minutes for crispier bacon if desired.Depending on your air fryer, you may need to prepare the bundles in batches. The cooking time and temperature may vary based on your air fryer model.
