Praline Ice Cream has to be one of my very favorite ice cream flavors I’ve been making this summer. I know it is going to be one of those that extends well into the fall and holiday season, too.

Making this praline ice cream does take just a bit longer than many of the other ice cream recipes that I’ve shared with you, but boy is it worth it! You start by making my family’s favorite Southern Pralines. I recommend that you make these babies when you have just eaten so that you won’t be tempted to eat them well before you need them for the ice cream!

But hey, luckily those Southern Pralines are easy as can be to make so another batch is just a few minutes away. Right? You just gotta do what ya gotta do!

Speaking of which, excuse the few photos I have of this ice cream. Little Buddy helped hold the ice cream cone long enough for me to take my photos for this recipe. After each photo, he’d say, “now can I eat it?”

“Just another photo or so and then you can.”

“Now? I think you’ve got plenty.”

And you know, I knew you’d understand. Eleven year old boys and ice cream cones don’t wait long.

Here’s my Praline Ice Cream recipe. Hope you love it.

I loved this recipe! I made this as a surprise for my boyfriend as Pralines and Cream ice cream is his favorite flavor and he was thrilled! This was actually the first homemade ice cream I’ve ever made and it was not only delicious but was super easy to follow and turned out exactly as described. Thanks for a great recipe and I will be checking out your other recipes as well!

If I want to incorporate eggs to make it creamier, may I? Or is it really not needed with this recipe because it’s just creamy enough.

      Hi Sue,
I’ve not made this particular recipe with an egg. It’s a delicious ice cream and hope hope you enjoy it! Thanks!
