Avocado Dip (Avocado Crema) Recipe – This avocado dip recipe is quick, easy and delicious! It comes together in five minutes and is delicious served with so many dishes!
Yesterday, I shared my recipe for spicy roasted sweet potatoes. Immediately, I started getting emails, comments, and Facebook messages asking about the green dip that I had photographed with the sweet potatoes! Well guys, by popular request, here’s the avocado dip recipe. Believe me, it could not be any simpler or more delicious!
This avocado dip, also called avocado crema, is made with just a handful of ingredients and is ready in no time flat! To make it, you’ll just need a ripe avocado, Greek yogurt, lime juice, salt and cilantro. You can get all fancy and pop it into your blender, but I prefer to just make it in a bowl with a fork! Ha. No need to pull out the power tools if they aren’t needed, right?
This makes the avocado dip just a little bit chunkier from many of the avocado crema’s that I’ve tried from restaurants, so if you like yours to be extra smooth, add it to the blender or your food processor for a few seconds to make it super smooth. You can also use an immersion blender so that you aren’t having to transfer the dip between containers.
The avocado dip keeps similar to guacamole in that it is best made and eaten fresh!
Here’s my easy as can be Avocado Dip recipe. I hope you love it as much as we do!

Wonderful recipe and easy to make. I didn’t have limes so I made the recipe with lemon juice. Limes will give it an even better taste!
is there a non-dairy substitute i can use in place of the yogurt?
Thanks for all the great recipes, love to open my mail everyday and see a great recipe from you. Love it thanks.
Awww! Thanks so much, Lynn! I appreciate you!!! xo
Hi! Any suggestions for omitting the cilantro? Could I sub fresh parsley? Same amount? Thank you.
I would not put parley in the avocado. Just put the lime & lemon juice. Or a touch of hot sauce.
What a simple dish! Love how versatile it can be too!
Thanks so much, Roxana! xo
