Oh my goodness, friends! Do I have a treat for you!

For some time now, I’ve whipped up this incredible sweet, yet spicy cream cheese spread that I use on sandwiches, wraps, spread onto crackers and even on a toasted bagel from time to time. It is one of those quick little things that I throw together on the weekend and then store in the refrigerator to use during the week in a few recipes. It is that perfect little addition to add a little pizzaz.

And you know what, making it couldn’t get much simpler either!

It seems like every time I make this and serve it to someone new, they always ask me for the recipe. So, this past weekend when I made it, I realized it might be a recipe that you would enjoy as well.

It comes together in a snap and is just the perfect addition to kick your fish, shrimp or chicken sandwich up a notch or two!

Here’s how I make it.

I begin with softened cream cheese that I place into a medium mixing bowl. Then, I deseed and dice my jalapeno pepper and my fresh pineapple and add them both to the cream cheese. Finally, I add my salt and stir well to combine.

I generally just use a spoon to mix this all together, but you can also use a handheld or stand mixer if you’d prefer.

Once it is well combined, it is ready for use. No need to let it sit overnight for the flavors to develop. It is ready immediately!

It keeps well in the refrigerator for up to about 3 days. Just store it in an airtight container. If you have stored it in the refrigerator, you may want to remove it from the refrigerator a little before you plan to use it to allow for even easier spreading.

Here’s a hint, I have a new recipe that I use this on coming later in the week. I think you’ll love the combination! 🙂

  1. Joyce says:

    Can you freeze this dip?

    1. Robyn Stone says:

Joyce, I wouldn’t recommend freezing this because the cream cheese sometimes changes texture when frozen. You can store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

    2. Gina Pitoniak says:

what do you serve this with? crackers, veggies, ?

    3. Robyn Stone says:

Gina, I serve this with crackers, bagels, or use it in a sandwich or wrap. You could also use veggies if you want. Hope you enjoy!

  2. Rach says:

Hello! Can use jarred jalapeños in place of the raw, jalapeño? Thank you!

    1. Robyn Stone says:

Rach, I haven’t used jarred jalapenos but I don’t see any reason that wouldn’t work. Hope you enjoy!

  3. Rhonda says:

I’m going to give this a try with some candied jalapenos I made. I’ll check back afterwards.

    1. Robyn Stone says:

      I hope you enjoy, Rhonda.

    2. LuAnn says:

Can you use whipped cream cheese? Thank you

    3. Robyn Stone says:

I haven’t used whipped cream cheese in this recipe, LuAnn, but you could. You may need more whipped cream cheese since it is lighter in weight than the block cream cheese.

  4. Steve Jensen says:

I went looking for a recipe after I bought a Pineapple Jalapeno dip from Sam’s Club and thought it was amazing. I can’t wait to give this a try. I bet it will be so much better than the store bought version.

    1. Robyn Stone says:

I hope you enjoy this recipe, Steve, as much as the dip you found at Sam’s Club.

  5. Ruth Mather says:

I made it for tonight’s Bible Study for our High school and college age that come every Wednesday night.   I’ve been tired of serving sweets, although they have enjoyed them.  I decided , since it’s been near 100 degrees for about 3 or 4 weeks that crackers and a cool spread would be good.  So tonite I made your recipe.   I ate a couple before I put them in their dish on the table.  I really liked it a lot.
I feel like I found a ‘good ‘ go too that’s not the same old thing.      I copied about 8 different spreads from my Pinterest .    I love Pinterest.   So in time , I’ll probably make the rest.   Thank  you for sharing it.

    1. Robyn Stone says:

I’m so happy you and the Bible Study group enjoyed them, Ruth! Thanks so much for sharing these with them and for letting me know that you all liked them! xo

Robyn – I made these poppers last month during our family beach vacation and my grown boys gobbled them up and even asked for your recipe. I wanted to make them again soon – so I came back to find the recipe and leave a message for you! Thank you for sharing this – best poppers ever!

    1. Robyn Stone says:

I’m so glad your boys loved them! Nothing makes a Mama happier than making her boys happy. Right? xo

What recipe are referring to in your “hint”?

  10. Pearline says:

Hi thanks for this it looks absolutely delicious I will be trying this over the memorial day weekend
Do you blend the pineapple and jalapeno before mixing into the softened cream cheese
Thanks again keep up the good work

    1. Robyn Stone says:

      Hi Pearline,
I hope you enjoy this over the weekend (and all summer long!). If your cream cheese has softened, you should just be able to stir the pineapple and jalapeno into the cream cheese until well combined. You can also use a mixer if you’d like. xo
