Crock Pot Beef Pot Roast

Pot Roast made in the slow cooker makes a family favorite, simple meal. This pot roast is tender with tons of flavor.

Pot roast is one of our favorite meals. I think everyone has their favorite way of preparing a pot roast, but I want to share with you the easiest, tastiest, most delicious way that I’ve found. It’s part of my weekly meal plan because my family loves it so much!

You can easily prepare pot roast on the stove or in the oven, but I love this recipe the best since I can prepare it as we travel in our motorhome. I put it in the crockpot, add a few special ingredients, and let it do it’s thing!

I have to tell you, within a short time, the smell is amazing!

Here’s how I make my slow cooker pot roast.

  2. There are few things that smell better in the kitchen on a cold day! PS ~ my husband’s dream is for us to vacation in a motorhome. I keep seeing us as the family in the movie “RV”…. thinking we may need some driving lessons first. ๐Ÿ™‚ Have a super start to your week!

  8. Okay Robyn, I am definitely trying this. I’ve just instituted crock-pot Wednesdays as part of my weekly planning and since I haven’t cooked much with my crock-pot I’m looking for ideas. And pot roast….yum! What do you serve yours with? Usually the pot roast I’ve made in the oven has potatoes, carrots and onions cooking alongside it. Just curious what you dish yours up with.

  9. This just might be easy enough for me to do… looks fantastic!

  10. I’ve never cooked pot roast in the crock pot. How smart!!! You know my favorite part of pot roast? Roast beef sandwiches on good ol’ white bread! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  14. Love using the crock pot even though it’s just The Professor and me; I’ll usually take half of whatever I’m making (including pot roast) and then freeze for another meal later down the road. HUGE timesaver! But lemme tell you, if that pot roast was cooking while I was driving down the road in a motorhome, I’d either put the thing in the ditch or I’d have to pull over and eat!!!

    • It’s a good thing I’m not driving that RV or we would be in a ditch for other reasons!!! ๐Ÿ™‚ But yes, it smelled heavenly.

  15. oh honey – lovely. What do you use for a camera. lens and lighting?

    • Thanks so much, Jennifer. You made my day!!! My camera is a Nikon D300s. Lens is 50mm/1.4 for food and for lighting natural as much as possible. I’m dying for lights now that the time has changed. ๐Ÿ™

  16. Our crockpot broke, but this might be the recipe to get me out there to buy a new one.
