Pot Roast made in the slow cooker makes a family favorite, simple meal. This pot roast is tender with tons of flavor.

Pot roast is one of our favorite meals. I think everyone has their favorite way of preparing a pot roast, but I want to share with you the easiest, tastiest, most delicious way that I’ve found. It’s part of my weekly meal plan because my family loves it so much!

You can easily prepare pot roast on the stove or in the oven, but I love this recipe the best since I can prepare it as we travel in our motorhome. I put it in the crockpot, add a few special ingredients, and let it do it’s thing!

I have to tell you, within a short time, the smell is amazing!

Here’s how I make my slow cooker pot roast.

  1. I love eating pot roast! I have to say though; I am completely hooked on grass fed beef. The flavor is delicious. The next time I make pot roast, I am going to try your recipe. It sounds great!

  2. Love using the crock pot even though it’s just The Professor and me; I’ll usually take half of whatever I’m making (including pot roast) and then freeze for another meal later down the road. HUGE timesaver! But lemme tell you, if that pot roast was cooking while I was driving down the road in a motorhome, I’d either put the thing in the ditch or I’d have to pull over and eat!!!

    1. It’s a good thing I’m not driving that RV or we would be in a ditch for other reasons!!! 🙂 But yes, it smelled heavenly.

    1. Thanks so much, Jennifer. You made my day!!! My camera is a Nikon D300s. Lens is 50mm/1.4 for food and for lighting natural as much as possible. I’m dying for lights now that the time has changed. 🙁

  3. I don’t have a crockpot, couldn’t find the instructions you mentioned in the Balsamic Pot Roast blog. Help, please??
