Storage Tips

Baked Pizza Dough Cinnamon Rolls. They are best enjoyed fresh or within 24 hours of baking. Store them wrapped well at room temperature. To freeze the baked rolls, store them in an airtight, freezer-safe container for up to 3 months. Thaw and reheat to serve.

Unbaked Pizza Dough Cinnamon Rolls. Prepare the cinnamon rolls without baking and store them tightly covered in the refrigerator overnight. Remove from the refrigerator as the oven is preheating and then bake as directed. Additional baking time may be needed since they are chilled. To freeze the unbaked rolls, store them in an airtight, freezer-safe container for up to 3 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight and then bake as directed.

Recipe Notes

This recipe is similar to Bart’s Best Cinnamon Rolls, but the cinnamon roll filling was adjusted slightly to compensate for the difference in the amount of dough.

My homemade pizza dough is made with all-purpose flour, which yields a less chewy roll than store-bought pizza dough, which typically uses bread flour. Both are delicious!

My homemade pizza dough makes enough for two 12-14-inch pizzas. This recipe uses pizza dough for one pizza (1/2 of the dough). This is great to make when you want a pizza night and have enough pizza dough left to make these easy cinnamon rolls for dessert or breakfast the following day! Win/ Win!

You can also double the recipe if you’d like to use the entire recipe for my homemade pizza dough.

Here’s my recipe. I hope you enjoy it!
