How to Make Strawberry Lemonade
This scrumptious and fresh lemonade is easy to make with just four ingredients.
Here’s how you’ll make it.
To make it, you’ll need these ingredients:
Ingredients
Be sure to see the recipe card below for the full listing of ingredients, instructions, notes, and estimated nutritional information.
- Sugar – Use granulated sugar, but you can use honey or other sweeteners instead if you choose. You can adjust the sugar amount to your preference as well.
- Hot water
- Strawberry pureeย – You will use about 1 pint of fresh strawberries, hulled
- Fresh lemon juice
- Cold water
Garnishes – Optional – but add an attractive touch when serving.
- lemon slices
- strawberry slices
- mint
Step-by-Step Instructions
Stir the sugar into the hot water. Add the sugar to a pitcher and then pour in the hot water. Stir until the sugar has dissolved, and then allow it to cool.
Puree the strawberries. Next, add your hulled strawberries to your blender and blend to puree.
Mix in strawberries and lemon juice. Add the strawberry puree and lemon juice to the pitcher and stir to combine. You can either serve it immediately or store it in the refrigerator to serve later.
Garnish and serve. When ready to serve, add optional garnishes of fresh lemon, strawberry slices, and mint and serve over ice cubes.
Storage Tips
To store: Cover the pitcher of lemonade or use one with a lid and refrigerate for up to 3 days before any fresh fruit garnishes are added. Add the fresh fruit garnishes and ice cubes just before serving for the best freshness.
Perfect Sip for Entertaining
This is a beautiful lemonade to serve when entertaining or for showers and luncheons. It is so light and refreshing, and everyone loves it! Especially those who love strawberries!
And since the temperatures here in the South can get considerably warm in the spring and summer, this cold and tasty lemonade is always a hit on a hot day!

This sounds fantastic, can’t wait to try. Have you tried this with any sugar substitutes and if so, which ones did you like best? Also you mentioned that if you can find lavender honey, it absolutely is scrumptious in this lemonade. How much honey did you use? Thank you so much for this tasty sounding recipe. Love, Love, Love strawberries and lemonade together.
Ever since you posted this, my 14 year old daughter has been begging for me to make it. I have it all ready, she will be home in an hour!!!! Very excited!
Oh I hope she loves it, Denise! Please tell her I said, Hi!!!
All four of my kids loved it (some added 7up to spritz it up….they just like soda ha!), and my 14 year old thought it was pretty cool that you said HI! Funny ๐
Oh the 7Up sounds like something my son would do and love, too! Aww, she’s a sweetie! ๐
