Every year about this time, you better believe I’m excited to hear about Pumpkin Spice Lattes coming back to Starbuck’s. Then I remember, where I live, there is no Starbuck’s to drive through and pick up this fall favorite treat in the mornings. That’s when I grab my pumpkin spice mix and head to the kitchen to make it myself.

I have to tell you, if you are like me and like to adjust flavors and spices in your foods and drinks, this is the way to go!

For my son’s version, I only add about half of the pumpkin spice that I include in my pumpkin spice latte and when I need an extra pick-me-up, I sprinkle just a tad bit more on top of the whipped cream than I normally do.

The smell of that pumpkin spice is so warm and comforting and makes me ready to trade my flip flops and t-shirts for boots and sweaters and to cheer on our favorite teams at football games and to spend an afternoon picking out pumpkins for the front porch. Isn’t it amazing how scents can do that? I’m the same way about peppermint and Christmas even though I love peppermint all year long. Do you do that? Please say you do!

I also am a bit scattered when it comes to how I prefer them.

Regular Pumpkin Spice Latte Recipe

Some days I enjoy them regular where each sip makes me warm to my toes, that’s when I crank out the regular hot Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe.

Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte Recipe

Other days when it is still a bit warm here in the south, I enjoy them iced and refreshing, getting the warmth from the spices while not adding any more heat to the world! That’s when I use my Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte Recipe.

Skinny Pumpkin Spice Latte Recipe

And then, there are days that I realize I need to cut back a bit and enjoy everything in moderation, those are the days that I turn to my Skinny Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe.

See, there’s one for virtually every mood!

  2. Sounds YUMMY!!!!

  3. I can’t wait to try this on the weekend, so tired of over paying at that coffee shop.

  5. Making your own latte is better because you know what kind of ingredients you put into it. On the other hand, when buying a latte from Star Bucks, you don’t know what’s in your drink.

  6. Wow! Thank you, Robyn! So excited that it’s PSL season again, even if the weather doesn’t know it yet! 🙂

  7. I really like your website! I thought I’d leave a comment after trying this recipe. I found the original a bit strong with spice and it only filled half my mug. Adjustments I made were 1/2 C coffee, 6T milk, 1T sugar, 1/4tsp spice, 1tsp vanilla, 1T pumpkin.
