Homemade lemonade is one of the most refreshing drinks as the weather warms up. We’re currently having a little dip in our temperatures which I’m taking full advantage of to work in our garden planting everything possible. I know it’s only a matter of time before the Georgia humidity will be upon us like a sweltering blanket. Then, you’ll find a pitcher full of fresh lemonade in my refrigerator ready to quench our thirst.
Homemade fresh lemonade is so simple to make and have on hand. It only takes a few minutes to have a gallon of lemonade made and ready.
Here’s how I made it.
A classic refreshing drink made with fresh lemons.
Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup hot water
- 2 cups fresh lemon juice
- 1 gallon cold water
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 1 lemon, sliced

Simple but classic lemonade recipe, I love it.
You cannot even compare this to store bought! Fabulous!
Beautiful. Gorgeous! I LOVE homemade lemonade, but have never tried this recipe. You know I will this summer!
Just made this with my little guy. He took his first sip and said, “I think you rocked it out with this lemonade mommy!” lol Thanks for making my 4 year old think I’m a rock star! ;0)
Well I just guess I’ll have to make another batch of lemoncello so I can get some fresh lemon juice. This looks so refreshing
