During the summer, I love to make quick fruit salsas to serve with chips or to pile on top of fish tacos, baked chicken or pork chops.

But honestly, I absolutely love to just have this as an appetizer or snack served with a chip. Talk about scrumptious. The blend of sweet from the peaches and blueberries and the spiciness of the jalapeรฑo and onion is absolutely perfection.

So full of color, this blueberry peach salsa is just as beautiful to look at as it is to eat. That’s one reason I love to make it when we are entertaining. It always is one of those dishes that disappears quickly and that everyone loves. It is so refreshing in warm weather and great for something just a little bit different.

With every bite, you get the sweetness from the peaches and blueberries, along with a bit of bite from the jalapenos and onion. It really does make for a delicious dish!

Note that my original recipe from 2013 included red onions and maple syrup. As I’ve been making this fruit salsa through the years, I’ve found that we prefer to use green onions in the salsa and have not had a need to include maple syrup, especially if the peaches are ripe and sweet.

  1. Kathy says:

My peaches arenโ€™t very sweet. How much maple syrup should I add?

    1. Robyn Stone says:

Kathy, you don’t want this salsa to be really sweet. I would try making it first just by the recipe and then taste it. If it is too tart, you could try adding a teaspoon of maple syrup. I have never had to add any syrup or sweetener to mine.

  2. Charlene says:

What kind of chips do you use? Would plain corn be ok? Thank you !

    1. Robyn Stone says:

      Hi Charlene,
The chips in the photo for the Blueberry Peach Salsa are my Cinnamon Sugar Tortilla Chips. I hope you try these chips with your salsa. You could also use plain corn chips if you like. xo
