This Spicy Dry Rub makes a wonderful gift over the holiday season, as a housewarming, or anytime, really.
Mixing up a large batch of this dry rub is so quick and easy and makes a great gift for family and friends, neighbors, or even as a teacher gift – especially for men who love to smoke and/ or grill.
But, if you are like me, you’ll want to keep a batch of this dry rub in your kitchen at all times. It is so delicious and works perfectly with pork, chicken, and beef. It is sort of a do-all dry rub recipe.
You’ll use basic ingredients that are most likely already in your kitchen, but in just the right amounts to make the perfect spicy dry rub that you’ll turn to time and again for so many dishes and recipes.
Here’s my Spicy Dry Rub recipe. I hope you love it as much as we do!

So cute!! I love giving little gifts like this for the holidays!
Thanks so much, Cathy!
good recipe and the art of a spice mix is hard.
Thanks, Christopher. Yes! Spice mix can be tricky. I always say to taste it as you go and make it your own by adding a touch more of the spices you love and less of those you don’t. 🙂 Hope you enjoy this one.
Your welcome. Also can change a bit depending on if you smokey paprika or your spices are old.
Yumm…makes me want ribs. Good looking spice rub…good and easy recipe. Would make great gifts. Thanks for sharing.
Oh my goodness, yes! It is out of this world on ribs! I really hope you enjoy it.
Sound like a great gift for my co-workers!
Out of all the handmade food gifts I’ve seen, this is the first dry rub! Thsi will translate a lot better with the man crowd!
This will be great. We just started using rubs this past summer and love them although the pre-made are expensive in the stores. Making our own will cut the costs. Thanks!
I love giving handmade gifts. Thanks for another great idea.
This is such a great idea! I made homemade gifts last year and had no idea what to give the guys – this is perfect!

Edith

How much of the dry rub do you use per pound of meat?
CAROL: About a tablespoon per each pound of meat you are cooking.
I’ve used this rub on a pork roast that I’ve slow cooked for 12hrs. It’s very tasty and adds wonderful flavour to the meat
