Chocolate Chip Waffles Recipe

Chocolate chip waffles are like inviting America’s favorite cookie to breakfast. These chocolate chip waffles will become a favorite.

It’s just hard to beat a big stack of buttermilk pancakes or waffles on weekend mornings, but when you turn them into these chocolate chip waffles you better believe you’ve got everyone’s attention. When I announce that chocolate chip waffles are almost ready, I can hear Little Buddy’s feet hit the floor running. Forget that sleepy-eyed look of other mornings, he’s raring to go.

The recipe comes together really quickly so if you are making these for a large crowd, you may want to go ahead and preheat a sheet pan in your oven at about 200º Fahrenheit. As waffles are ready, place them on the sheet pan and return them to the oven. When your ready to serve your family, just remove the sheet pan from the oven and place them on a platter for serving.

Here’s how I make them.

We wore our last waffle iron out. Little Buddy actually asked for one for Christmas! Can you tell how much he loves waffles?

We just found a waffle maker at a yard sale last weekend, been looking for a recipe to try it out. I think I just found it. Looks yummy.

My son went into waffle deprivation mode late last year when our last one went kaput. Ours is a kitchen staple! :)

I love to mix in fruit as well, but Little Buddy’s waffle upon request is always chocolate chip. I bet you’ll love it.

I love making big batches and freezing them, Dara. We do that for waffles, biscuits and pancakes, etc. It sure makes busy mornings easier.

Lovely blog. Stumbled on it now, literally. The image is beautiful. I think I have every kitchen gadget imaginable but yet I don’t have a waffle maker. After seeing this it makes me question my decision making.
