Cornbread Waffles have to be one of my favorite things in the whole world. Seriously. They are so easy to make and perfect for serving with a ton of different dishes. And, it doesn’t hurt that Little Buddy has always thought they were the coolest thing ever.

Which means he’s always eaten them and whatever I serve with them! Score!!!

They are delicious served on the side of a big bowl of soup or chili and you can even cut them into cornbread waffle sticks so they are perfect for dunking. Oh man are they delicious.

    Hi Robyn,

I’ve just finished making these as part of mine and my fiancee’s Shrove Tuesday Feast! I made the cheddar and jalapeno recipe, added in some chopped spring onion and their getting served with smoky, sweet pulled pork. They’re so good, I couldn’t help but sneaking in one as a snack while I tended to that waffle iron!

    Thanks for the recipe!

      Hi Matt,
Okay, I think you’ve outdone yourself for this amazing feast! It is making me rethink what I’d planned for our supper!

    Robyn,

I’m avoiding flour products and have never made cornbread using flour. Will this work using plain cornmeal?

    Thanks.

    1. Robyn Stone says:

      Hi Christi,
There is cornmeal in the recipe, but I also use the flour for texture, etc.
