Okay sweet friends! Let’s get this simple, easy recipes series kicked off with a bang! You ready?
I knew when I was thinking of the recipes to include in this series that this Simple Blackened Shrimp just had to be in there. It is the very definition of a simple recipe and is absolutely mouth watering. I just know y’all are going to love it!
Here’s how I make it.
Don’t blink now, because you’ll miss something it’s so fast!
Start with some shrimp. I use uncooked Gulf shrimp that has been peeled.
I do leave the tails on though.
Throw them all into a large bowl.
Pour in some canola oil or whatever kind of cooking oil you prefer.
Then pour in some blackening seasoning.
This is the only blackening seasoning they have had lately at my local grocery store, but it tastes yummy on shrimp.
Stir everything together to make sure your shrimp all get nice and coated with the blackening seasoning and oil.
Pour it all out onto a baking sheet and place into the oven.
And about 10 minutes later, this is what you’ve got!
Slurp!
Toss it onto a salad or serve with a side of your favorite vegetables and you’ve got a meal!
Pretty neat, huh?

This recipe reminds me so much of my mom! She would make something very similar to this on summer nights with a loaf of crusty bread to soak up the yummy oil
A total pleaser for sure!

I made this last night in the toaster oven and it was super amazing! I used the Redfish Blackened seasoning since that’s the only flavor Safeway had. My wife loved it! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe
