And let me just tell you, this cheesy bacon bread is just as ah-diccccc-tivvve as it is delicious, which means it will become on of those go-to recipes you’ll turn to time and again.

It begins with a simple baguette that you can pick up at the local grocery store, slice and then smear with a little bit of butter. Then, and this is where the deliciousness really comes in, you top it with slices of cheddar cheese, and sprinkles of bacon. Slices of cheddar cheese topped with sprinkles of bacon? Doesn’t that sound about heavenly? It surely does to me!

For the cheddar cheese, I use Cracker Barrel‘s Aged Reserve for it’s distinctive and always consistent, sharp flavor and smooth texture. The sharp, yet smooth taste of the Cracker Barrel cheese is always delicious and is the result of the unique aging process that creates the signature sharp Cracker Barrel flavor and the addition of cream that provides the ultra smooth texture. This process is what sets Cracker Barrel apart from other cheese.

Aged Reserve has to be my family’s favorite cheese that we go through constantly around my house. From nibbling on quick little slices with grapes or apples in the afternoon as I’m making supper to using in recipes, it always works perfectly.

And on this Cheesy Bacon Bread, it is out of this world delicious! The sharpness of the cheese blends perfectly with the smokey flavor of the bacon. And… since I don’t crisp the baguette when I heat my Cheesy Bacon Bread, they are easy to enjoy without cracking, crumbling, and creating a mess.

I love to serve cheese on a platter with some grapes and a variety of crackers, it is something my Mother always did growing up and it’s still a favorite!

This recipe looks delicious! I’d be tempted to first toast the bread a bit before adding the toppings. Will have to try the recipe first & see :)
