What is a Pork Chop?
A pork chop is a lean cut of pork taken from the loin of the pig. The loin of the pig runs from the shoulder to the hip. There are different types of pork chops, depending on the areas of the loin from which they are cut. It usually includes a rib or portion of the vertebrae for a bone-in pork chop or the bone may be trimmed away for a boneless pork chop.

Just wondering what you recommend using. Bone less or bone in pork chops. If bone in rib or steak cut? thanks.
As I state in the post, you can use any type pork chops you wish, bone in or boneless.
Would this work with boneless chops?
Hi Cristin,
It should work well! I hope you enjoy it! xo
Do you season the pork chops
I only add the BBQ sauce, Kara.
Nothing added except your favorite flavor BBQ sauce. Enjoy! Thanks!
Great and easy recipe, I added crushed pineapple between each layer. I tend to like a sweeter flavor.
That sounds delicious Michael! I have to try that next time! Thanks so much!
what barbque sauce do you recommend?
Mine are also boneless
I’ve done this in a pan on the stove but never thought to use the slow cooker. Thanks!! Pinning it!!
I made this the other day, and being short on time, I opted for the shorter cooking time on high. It had good flavor, but it never got thick or sticky like the picture. I attributed this to not using the low temp and the longer cooking time, but wondered if anyone else had a similar problem. thanks…..
Hi Deborah,
Yes, it is due to using the shortened cooking time.
I have them in the slow cooker right now!!!!!looks and smells so good & with having 2 toddlers running around the house it saves me cooking time ๐
It’s BBQ pork chops for me tomorrow. Can’t wait!
