Warning: These little nibbles disappear quickly!

Mama has been making these sugar coated nuts for as longs as I can remember. Sweet and addictive, they are perfect for making and serving at parties and get togethers. It seems like she would always make them for a shower she was hosting or whenever a group of her friends were coming over.

But here’s the thing – she always had to make extra batches.

As soon as these little sugary treats were cool enough to eat, you could be sure that we’d all be gathered around them sampling to make sure they were just right.

It was our duty!

We couldn’t let Mama serve anything that wasn’t just right for her parties, ya know! (ha!)

The funny thing is, now my family has taken over the role of sampling and I have to make extras.

Thankfully, they couldn’t be any easier to make!

You can make them with any nut that you prefer. Mama generally made them with raw peanuts or pecans, but almonds, walnuts and others will work just fine, too.

Here’s Mama’s Sugar Coated Nuts recipe. I think you might want to give them a try, too!
