MEAL PLAN TIPS:

Saturday:
Easy Pepper Steak: This is another favorite from my childhood that I simply had to include in my cookbook – but I made it even easier by making it a Slow Cooker recipe!
To save time in the morning, I’ll place all the ingredients in the insert to the slow cooker, cover and refrigerate. Then in the morning, I put it the slow cooker, make the rice and green beans when I get home and suppers done!

Sunday:
Chicken Cacciatore:  This cooks all in one skillet and is comfort food at it’s best! It’s simple to make, but I like to chop my herbs and other ingredients ahead of time if I’m going to be in a hurry at supper time.
I keep a House Salad made in my fridge for pairing with meals and quick lunches too. I’ll pair that with one of my homemade dressings I keep made in the refrigerator as well. Supper’s simple, rustic and delicious tonight!

Monday:
Cheesesteak Sandwiches: This Pepper Steak makes some amazing sandwiches in this Leftover Makeover I share in my Add a Pinch Cookbook.

Tuesday:
Cashew Chicken: While from start to finish only takes 25 minutes on this recipe, you can definitely speed it up for a weeknight by going ahead and cutting up your chicken and storing in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Likewise, you can go ahead and mix together the sauce used in the recipe and store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator as well.
To make tomorrow night even easier, while I’m cutting up the chicken for this dish, I’ll go ahead and slice the chicken for the fajitas for Wednesday and place in sealed container in the refrigerator.

Wednesday:
Chicken Fajitas: A definite quick and easy go-to recipe that takes just 25 minutes from start to finish. If you want to speed things along, even more, I like to go ahead and prep the veggies the night before.

Thursday:
Pulled Pork Sandwiches: Let the slow cooker do all the hard work for you. You can easily put everything into the slow cooker insert the evening before and refrigerate. Then, on Sunday morning, just remove from the refrigerator and place into the slow cooker, set the timer and go! Easy, peasy!
Coleslaw : This coleslaw comes together in a snap, but is also a great make-ahead side dish too.
Classic Pound Cake: My Grandmother Verdie’s recipe for pound cake is just as delicious the next day as it is freshly baked. Bake it ahead for an easy meal!

Friday:
Leftovers or Family Night Out

Have a great week!
