Chocolate Pancakes. Mmmmmm. If these are wrong, please don’t tell me.

I just don’t want to know if they are!

Sam would most likely say the same since he’s the one that requests them time and again. That and his chocolate chip waffles. He’d eat them every day if I let him. Which I don’t, but you know what I mean.

Anyway, it sure is a good thing they are so simple to make.

Serve them with a bit of delicious maple syrup and you are good to go.

Of course, serving them with fresh fruit, a dollop of whipped cream and some chocolate syrup wouldn’t be a bad idea either. Whatever floats your boat.

Recipe Review

    1. I didn’t have self-rising flour so I added ¼ TBSP baking powder. Came out great for smiley-face pancakes (just add whipped cream!). The kids loved it! Very filling, too.

    2. Glad your kids loved the pancakes, Jeremiah. My son has always loved those smiley-faced pancakes, too. Thanks!

  1. Chocolate pancakes are sort of like my dream come true. These ones look lovely. They remind me of my favorite restaurant in Taiwan. I will definitely need to make them soon.

  2. Thanks for posting, Im making these tomorrow! We like pancakes a lot! And anytime I can get chocolate into another meal, I’m happy!

  3. I just made this today. My husband and I actually had 3 each and just finished them. I didnt have self-rising flour so i added 1T baking powder. I used special dark cocoa so it was a bit strong. But all in all, I enjoyed the recipe. Fluffy and yummy! 🙂

  4. Mmmmmm!! I LOVE chocolate. I’ve had chocolate chip pancakes, but NOT chocolate pancakes!! I will definitely serve these pancakes with some bacon for breakfast AND dinner!!
