  • Steak – Use any cut of steak that you prefer. Use sirloin, ribeye, filet, flank, or skirt steak. Cut the steak into bite-sized pieces.
  • Olive oil
  • Stone House Seasoning – my favorite seasoning blend that we use on so many of our recipes. Named with our last name for our “house seasoning.”

Step-by-Step Instructions

Air Fryer Steak Bites

Prep. Preheat the air fryer to 400º F.

Season the steak bites. Add the olive oil and Stone House Seasoning to the steak bites in a bowl. Toss with tongs to coat well.

Transfer. Place the steak bites into the basket of the air fryer.

Cook. Set the air fryer to the temperature and cook. Shake the basket halfway through the cooking time. Check the internal temperature of the bites to make sure they reach 145º F.

Optional Cooking Methods

Grilled Steak Bites

Heat the grill to medium-high heat. Add the steak bites to a mixing bowl and toss in the olive oil and Stone House Seasoning. Transfer with tongs to the grill and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until they reach your desired level of doneness. Remove them from the grill and allow them to rest for about 5 minutes. Serve warm.

Pan-Fried Steak Bites

Heat the olive oil in a medium skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak bites to a mixing bowl and toss in the olive oil and Stone House Seasoning. Transfer the steak bites to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until they reach your desired level of doneness. Remove the steak bites from the skillet and allow to rest for about 5 minutes. Serve warm.

Oven-Baked Steak Bites

Preheat the oven to 400º F. Add the steak bites to a baking dish and toss in the olive oil and Stone House Seasoning. Place the baking dish into the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes until they reach your desired level of doneness. Remove from the oven and allow to rest for about 5 minutes. Serve warm.

Variations

Garlic Butter Steak Bites – Melt 2 tablespoons of butter (or ghee) and add 2 minced garlic cloves to the butter. When the steak bites have cooked, add them to a bowl or platter and drizzle the garlic butter over the top of the steak bites.

Blackened Steak Bites – Substitute Blackened Seasoning for the Stone House Seasoning used in the recipe.

Teriyaki Steak Bites – Use 2 tablespoons olive oil and 1/2 cup Teriyaki Sauce. Drizzle over the steak bites and toss to coat. Cook the steak bites to the desired level of doneness and serve warm. Serve with additional teriyaki sauce on the side.

BBQ Steak Bites – Use 2 tablespoons olive oil and 1/2 cup BBQ Sauce. Drizzle the sauce over the steak bites and toss to coat. Cook to the desired level of doneness and serve warm. Serve with additional BBQ sauce on the side.

Storage Tips

To make ahead (uncooked). Add the bite-sized steak pieces, olive oil, and seasoning to a glass airtight container. Toss to coat. Seal and store in the refrigerator until ready to cook, up to 2 days. Cook as directed.

To make ahead (cooked). Prepare as directed. Cool and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat and serve.

To freeze. Cook and cool. Store in an airtight, freezer-safe container for up to 3 months. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight. Reheat and serve.

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Stone House Seasoning, plus more for serving, if needed

Instructions 

  • Prep. Preheat air fryer to 400º F.
  • Cook. Add steak pieces, olive oil, and Stone House Seasoning to a medium bowl. Toss with tongs to coat each piece. Transfer to air fryer basket. Cook, shaking the basket halfway through cooking, until the internal temperature reaches 145º F on the steak bites, about 12 minutes.
