Chocolate Filled Raspberries make a delicious, guilt-free treat. These little bite-sized berries have just the right amount of chocolate and are perfect for snacking!

These Chocolate Filled Raspberries are so scrumptious, yet quick and easy to make! While they make a perfectly easy and portable snack, they are wonderful to serve at parties, showers and even at tailgating events. And yes, these juicy bite-sized berries are great for Valentine’s Day, too! Just like my decadent Chocolate Covered Strawberries, these make an excellent food gift for a special day.
Chocolate Filled Raspberries

For these beautiful berries, you can use whatever type of chocolate you prefer to fill them. Some like the mildness of milk chocolate to fill the raspberries. Most of the time, I prefer to use dark chocolate as it pairs perfectly with the raspberry flavor. However, when the craving hits and I want to make them, I go with whatever I have on hand and the mood I’m in when I’m making them. No matter which chocolate you use, these are a fantastic treat and are always a crowd favorite!
How to Make Chocolate Filled Raspberries
To make these, you’ll need:
- Raspberries
- Chocolate Chips
- Coconut oil
I use a mini-muffin tin to make it easy to make these.
Place a few inside a mini-muffin tin, just as I’ve shown in the photograph above. Heat the chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl for 2 minutes on 50% power. Stir until smooth.
Then, pour the melted chocolate into a plastic zip top container and snip just a tiny hole in the bottom corner to make it as mess-free as possible for filling the raspberries.
Next, squeeze the bag slightly to fill each of the crevices of each raspberry with the melted chocolate.
Finally, I just pop the whole muffin tin into the freezer to flash freeze for about 15 minutes to set the chocolate.
If serving then, remove from the freezer and enjoy!
How to Make Ahead
My family and I love these delicious little treats. Whenever raspberries are on sale, I love to grab a few extra pints and make this recipe.Since we enjoy them so much, I like to make them ahead so that I have them whenever I want them. Thankfully, they are so simple to make ahead and freeze.
To keep in the freezer, make them as instructed and flash freeze for 15 minutes as directed.
Then, place them in an airtight, freezer-safe container and place back in the freezer for up to 3 months.
They make the perfect snack anytime and they are delicious in the summertime straight from the freezer, too!

Here’s my Chocolate Filled Raspberries recipe. Make them soon. You’ll love them!

My son would go crazy for these. He’s obsessed with raspberries and blueberries. Unfortunately they’re also really expensive ($6.00 for 125g) so we’ve started growing both and will have a surplus on our hands in no time so this recipe will definitely come in handy!
Absolutely love these! Making them soon, they are just so cute.
Yummy!! And so darling!!
Hi Cecilia,
They do well for a short period of time, but the raspberries themselves need to at least be refrigerated to prevent them from spoiling. I think if you give them as a gift, just give a note to store in the refrigerator.
Oh my gosh I am dying for these right now! My son would love them!
Oh Liz! You will LOVE these little things!!!
These are the cutest things I’ve ever seen. I must try these for Valentines Day 🙂
Do you wash the berries before hand and which is the best way to dry them?
I just came across this recipe and haven’t made it yet, but I’m reviewing it nonetheless! Raspberries and chocolate are my two favorite things to eat, and I love them together. My husband thinks I’m obsessed! (But buys me raspberry/chocolate treats for gifts anyway.) I can’t believe I’ve never thought of doing this before. Thanks for the idea! I’m off to the store to buy raspberries now! 🙂
Yummy! I definitely want to try these for valentine’s day! Can the coconut oil be replaced by something else?
Sure. You can use vegetable shortening instead.
I’ve just tried your recipe, very simple and yummy. Great idea. Thanks
I know this is a silly question, but are these intended to be served cold or room temp? Thanks!
This is not a silly question…. I was actually wondering the same thing.
I was also wondering same thing, are they served cold or frozen? Im planning to do this for Memorial Weekend.. thanks!
I am sharing this on my Facebook page!
Hi,
I want to make this but fresh raspberries are hard to come by.
Frozen ones are no problem.
But when i fill them i coan’t put them back in the freezer ( refreezing is dangerous)
What do you think will the chocolate get hard from the frozen raspberry when ik just put them in the refrigerator ?
I pop my raspberries into the fridge for just 10 mins or so and they are hard enough.
Great recipe and I use it also to coat blueberries, banana slices, peach slices and half of a good size chip or kettle chip….yum
Thanks so much, Joyce!
Yummy… Raspberries with chocolate, can’t with to try this recipe. Thank you! 🙂
Would a chocolate chip work just as well?
Excellent
