How to Make Skillet Beef Ziti Recipe
To make this one skillet wonder, you’ll just brown your ground beef in the skillet over medium heat. Once it has browned, drain away any excess drippings and then stir in your tomato sauce, water, Italian Seasoning Blend, and your cayenne pepper.
You’ll bring this to a boil and then stir in your uncooked ziti, cover the skillet, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer until the ziti is tender, about 20 minutes.
You may occasionally want to check in on your ziti to make sure that it is coming along nicely and give it a good stir every once in a while.
Once the ziti is tender, stir in your sour cream and half of the cheeses. Then, sprinkle the remaining cheeses on the top of the ziti, return the cover to the skillet, turn off the heat and let the ziti rest until the cheese have melted, about 5 more minutes.
Then serve! Just look at all that cheesy goodness! Yum!
My Skillet Lasagna is another quick pasta recipe I think you’ll enjoy! And I can’t even describe the creamy decadence of my homemade Alfredo Sauce! These are just a couple more recipes you may want to try.

Super easy! It’s a great family favorite!
I have not made any of your recipes, but I have most of them saved and am definitely going to make them, easy and quick and like the comments on them they are delicious….thanks fran
Fran, I hope you try these recipes soon. Let me know how you like them.
I like that it’s cooked with the sauce so the noodle starch thickens the mix. I put under the broiler for a couple minutes to toast the cheese and noodle ends. crunch!
could i use Ricotta in place of the Sour Cream and Greek Yogurt? i don’t like either one of them. thanks
I made this according to the recipe, and actually did not quite as much liquid as it called for and it was WAY too soupy. I would suggest adding some flour to the sauce if yours is too liquidy! Other than that, It tastes great ๐
Wow, Robyn! Delicious! My electric skillet dinner looks just like the picture! I used a whole (25 oz) jar of marinara sauce with a little bit more ziti. Great family dinner! Easy prep and clean up! Thank you for the recipe!
I’m so glad you enjoyed this, Diane! It’s one of our family favorites! Thanks!
