Pulled Pork Recipe

Pulled pork is easy to prepare, but leaves everyone thinking you slaved over it all day long. Whether you serve pulled pork sandwiches topped with a few pickles as a delicious lunch or dinner or pulled pork with a side of baked beans or potato salad, everyone will ask for your recipe. Full of rich, smokey sweetness. Pop a pork butt into the crock pot in the morning before you head off to work or the day’s activities and when you come home, you’ll be greeted with a dinner you can have on the table in a flash.

I feel like my kitchen has turned into the most popular BBQ joint when I’m putting these babies on the table. And they are so easy to prepare, you’ll swear you’ll never eat them from a restaurant again.

Here’s how I make it.

Pulled Pork Recipe

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 6 hours, 20 minutes

Total Time: 6 hours, 30 minutes

Yield: 12

Let your slow cooker do all the hard work for this pulled pork recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 3-4 pound pork butt
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • water
  • 1 bottle (16 ounces) favorite BBQ sauce or your favorite homemade sauce

Instructions

  1. Place pork butt into crock pot.
  2. Add apple cider vinegar and enough water to reach half-way up meat.
  3. Cook on medium setting for at least six hours.
  4. Remove from crock pot and place in large pan.
  5. Pull the pork into pieces and mix in BBQ sauce.
  6. Place in oven for 20 minutes.
  7. Serve on your favorite bun or bread slices for sandwiches or alongside your favorite beans or salad.

    oh pulled pork… how do I love thee??? ALL THE TIME! SO SO good!!

    I dont even use vinegar- just one can of Root Beer in the crock pot with my pork. Drain it, and add your fave bbq sauce after shredding. SO EASY!

    I have yet to actually make pulled pork. Just added it to the meal plan, it sounds so easy!
