How to Make Honey Soy Chicken Recipe
Ingredients
Be sure to see the recipe card below for the full listing of ingredients, instructions, notes, and estimated nutritional information.
For this honey soy chicken recipe, you’ll need olive oil, chicken, soy sauce (or coconut aminos), honey, garlic, salt, pepper, and ginger.
Optionally, you may want to include red pepper flakes for heat in the dish and chopped fresh parsley to add bright fresh flavor.
Recipe Notes
Chicken – You can use chicken breasts, chicken thighs, drumsticks, or even wings. Any and all work perfectly and taste amazing. You can choose to use boneless, skinless chicken or go with bone-in, skin-on pieces. Whatever suits you works great.
Optional Time to Marinate – As quick and easy as it is to mix up and make, I also love to mix up the honey-soy mixture and pour half of it over my chicken to let it marinate throughout the day before cooking. Then, as it cooks, I use the remainder of the honey-soy mixture on my chicken. While this is delicious, it isn’t absolutely necessary. The honey-soy mixture imparts so much flavor while the chicken cooks!

It also works really well if you add lemon instead of the ginger!
Glad you like it, Joe! Thanks for sharing that! ๐
I made this tonite. Realized I did not have a skillet that could go in the oven (rubber handles) so I just left it on the stove to cook for about 30 min. After about 20 min the sauce thickened and it was delicious.
So happy you enjoyed it, Carla! Thanks!
