MEAL PLAN TIPS:
Saturday:
Bartโs Best Hamburgers: We love to grill and these are the best burgers Iโve ever tasted! Iโve shared tips in the post with this recipe on how to make these juicy, delicious hamburgers that should be helpful to you. To prep ahead for the meal, mix up the Stone House Seasoning if you don’t already have it on hand. I use it so often, I always keep it made and ready! You can also form the hamburger patties ahead of time and refrigerate until ready to grill if you want. Another timesaver I use is to prep my tomatoes, lettuce, and other โfixingsโ ahead of time too.
Sunday:
Grilled Chicken with Marinade: This delicious meal is awesome for making ahead! You make marinade ahead and marinate chicken ahead too for the best, most delicious and juicy chicken! Another tip for saving time with meals is to make extra chicken while you are grilling it. Iโm grilling extra chicken breasts for meals later this week.
Easy Tortellini Pasta Salad: Delicious served warm or cold, which makes this a perfect salad to make ahead.
Strawberry Shortcake with Cream Cheese Biscuits: I get the strawberries hulled, sliced and ready to go for these ahead of time. This dessert is a regular family favorite thatโs in my cookbook!
Monday:
Today my family is celebrating my Mama’s birthday and Labor Day!
The Best Pulled Pork Sandwiches: Let the slow cooker do all the hard work for you. You can easily put everything into the slow cooker insert the evening before and refrigerate. If you are eating early during this holiday, then you can go ahead and let this cook during the night in your slow cooker.
Coleslaw: This coleslaw comes together in a snap, but is also a great make-ahead side dish, too. This is amazing piled atop those delicious Pulled Pork Sandwiches!
Best Southern Baked Beans: This cooks for a while to bring out that amazing, rich flavor, so you can make this earlier in the day if you wish and reheat.
Southern Potato Salad: Make the potato salad the night before and refrigerate โ so easy and so good.
Best Vanilla Cake: I’ll make the cake ahead so that I can enjoy spending time with my family today.
Wednesday:
Grilled Chicken Fiesta Salad: This delicious salad is super make-ahead friendly. Iโve grilled the chicken ahead when I grilled this weekend. Iโve also made my Restaurant Salsa ahead and it’s waiting in the fridge. This delicious salad is one of our family favorites. We love that that we get to enjoy chips and salsa as part of this salad!
Thursday:
One Pot Penne Pasta: This one pot dish could not be easier to get on the table on a busy night! You can get all the ingredients together and prepped if you wish to save a few minutes, but youโll have supper on the table in a flash. This delicious family favorite meal cooks in around 15 minutes!
House Salad: I will have a large salad made and in the fridge, so this meal is super fast!
Peanut Butter Pie: What a perfect pie for some of the last hot days of summer! You can make this ahead and have it chilling ready to enjoy for dessert! It’s such a favorite no bake pie!
Have a fun, safe Labor Day weekend and a great week!
