Grilled Peaches with Honey and Ice Cream Recipe

Grilled peaches with vanilla ice cream and honey is a perfect, simple and scrumptious summertime dessert.

Grilled Peaches with Honey & Vanilla Ice Cream

Grilled Peaches with Honey and Ice Cream is one of our favorite desserts to make during the peak of peach season. It is so simple, fresh, and absolutely heavenly.  Grilling peaches takes no time at all really and within 10 minutes you have this dessert that just screams summertime. It is right up there with peach cobbler for a favorite peach dessert for me lately.

This grilled peach dessert is great for entertaining and especially when camping.

Be sure to pick really ripe peaches when you buy them to ensure the best grilled peaches. If they aren’t fully ripe, you can just leave them on the counter for a day or two and they will ripen. I’ve also been known to keep them in a brown paper bag on the counter to get the process going even more quickly.

The grill brings out the full flavor of the peaches, making them even juicier and more tender. Watch the grill closely to prevent any flare ups. To help prevent that, I place my peaches on the grill flesh side down first. That way, the peaches have begun to soften and become juicier, but when you flip them the juices will pool inside the middle where the pit has been removed.

Absolute perfection!

But wait.

It gets even better.

I promise.

Grilled Peaches with Honey

Pull your peaches off of the grill and then add them to a bowl with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if you like.

But definitely, definitely, definitely do not forget the honey.

After a heavy meal – nothing is better than sweet grilled peaches. I’ve actually never had it with ice cream ( usually just a bit of honey drizzled on top) — but this is a GREAT idea. I can’t wait until I get home – – that’s another thing I love, it’s so easy to make that I don’t have to wait for the weekend :D

Thank you so much, sweet Mary! I can’t wait to hear how you like it! It is mighty delicious with Georgia peaches, but nectarines work great, too.

Oh, I think you’ll love grilling fruit once you start. So easy and so delicious. If you don’t like using an outside grill, try it on a stovetop grill pan.

I can’t wait to hear how you like it, Deborah. It works great with nectarines, apricots, and plums as well, but peaches are my personal favorite. :)

Instead of the ice cream, try a chunk of dark chocolate. Put it on the peach while it’s grilling and it melts in the center. It’s delicious! Oh and lawhealthyliving, you could argue that dark chocolate is nutritious!

What I really love about people like you sharing recipes is the emphasis you put on small small things that make the final outcome well worth the effort. It’s not just the ingredient and the method/ steps for execution but tips like placing the peaches on the grill flesh side down first, so that when peaches have begun to soften and become juicier, the juices will pool inside the middle where the pit has been removed when you flip them and that one needs to pick really ripe peaches to ensure the best grilled peaches. Such hints form the basis of successful execution of any recipe. Well done! I’ll definitely try it [with honey] and a full scoop of vanilla ice cream. ;-) Thanks.

Look so delicious! and I love yours pics. I will try to make this, but I’m not sure if it like yours because the ingredients in Vietnam are quite different.
