Can you believe that Valentine’s Day is this week? The internet has been buzzing with all things red, pink, and full of hearts for weeks now. You all have definitely shared so many beautiful crafts, desserts, and treats that you’ve left me wondering how I can possibly pack weeks of Valentine preparation into two days!
I started thinking I could just run to Hobby Lobby to pick up enough crepe paper, felt, and sparkle to have my house whipped into Valentine’s Day-land by nightfall.
Today, as I was making lists after lists of all supplies we needed for crafts and starting to fret about Valentine’s Day, my husband built a roaring fire, quietly walked outside and took care of all the animals, brought me half of his smoothie to share, and I realized – once more – that Valentine’s Day is every single day when you are with the one you love. You just have to realize it.
Which then led me to remembering my favorite scripture that we had read during our wedding – 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 – and I knew it was the absolute perfect thing to include in this week’s Mingle Monday.
Oh and Sweetheart, if you are reading this, I’m so glad you reminded me of our verse by all the sweet things you always do. And thanks for watching the Red Carpet show before the Grammys with me tonight instead of recorded episodes of Gold Rush, you are a good man!
