Mingle Monday {10-3-11}

Welcome Back to Mingle Monday!

I can not believe we are already in the month of October! I’m most certainly not complaining – I love the weather, the apples, the pumpkins, the Fall food, and the changing of the leaves from the green we’ve enjoyed all summer to beautiful hues of red, yellow, orange and gold. As the begin to change, they remind me of drives we’d take into the mountains with my parents and grandparents growing up to “see the leaves”. Even now, as a nip is felt in the air, I’m ready to head up into the mountains for long drives and exploring. It’s a family tradition definitely worth sharing with Little Buddy.

The deliciousness shared in last week’s Mingle Monday is pushing me even farther into my mood for everything Fall.

A Farmgirl’s Dabbles’ Apple Bundt Cake with Brown Butter Vanilla Bean Glaze  truly looks like a perfect cake for cooler weather.

Pumpkin Cinnamon Streusel Pancakes  from Two Peas and Their Pod look deliciously warm and inviting for a Fall morning.

Ice cream in a muffin? Oh my word this sounds heavenly! I can’t wait to try Simply Southern Baking’s recipe for Caramel Pecan Ice Cream Muffins. YUM!
